Buck Services Inc. specializes in in school and church maintenance. We have immediate positions available for experienced individuals with good communications skills, valid driver's license, and experience in the school environment. Open 1st shifts available in several areas. A Porter by definition will have the ability to communicate in English to our client and their staff in order to complete their responsibilities. Will have the ability to perform all cleaning responsibilities with or without the use of janitorial equipment. Able to perform any set-ups and/or break downs before or after an event as time permits. Able to read an event calendar and set-up sheets as drawn up by client. Performs chores, such as light bulb changing, on a priority basis. Has the responsibility to work hand and hand with other staff. The individual will clean, disinfect, polish and dust all necessary areas. SCHOOL PORTER DUTIES: • Check the entire campus daily for cleanliness and any and all problems. • Inspect outside grounds near entrance areas on a daily basis as time allows. • Accept and unload all deliveries. Deliver books/supplies to needed locations. • Open all doors as needed for the afternoon and evening events. • Lock and secure any doors needed after the school day has ended. Secure facility Daily/Nightly. • Sanitize/Disinfect high touch points. • Perform meeting setups, breakdowns and clean-ups for afternoon and evening events. • Work directly with client’s staff on special projects. • Wet mop entrances, hallways and stairways during the day during inclement weather. • Changing of light bulbs and lamps up to 8’ high. • Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures and equipment. • Sweeps, dust mops and wet mops hard floor surfaces. Vacuum carpeting, mats and carpet runners. • Spot clean walls and stalls as needed. • Check and maintain washrooms throughout the day. • Remove scuffmarks on hard floor surfaces.
